Who We Are

Welcome to ACEing Autism Morristown and the ACEing Autism volunteer family! We are so excited to have you join us. Please note that the program is held at the Delbarton School and in order to volunteer you must attend either Delbarton, Villa Walsh, Oak Knoll or St. Elizabeth's.  The goal of the program is to work with children with Autism by using the game of tennis to foster the enjoyment of fitness, improve gross and small-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communications, social skills, self-esteem, and to have fun.

ACEing Autism aims to be the preeminent thought leader on how tennis and sport develops children with autism spectrum disorder by reaching 50% of the 1M+ families in the autism community and helping them become aware of ACEing Autism, while impacting an increasing percentage of those reached with ACEing’s unique programming.

The onsite Program Directors are as follows:

Brayden Bonetti

Brayden is a sophomore at the Delbarton School and has volunteered with the ACEing Autism Morristown program since its inception.  He has been a competitive tennis player since he was three years old and plays in both USTA tournaments and a high-performance tennis program.  Brayden is also a member of the USTA Eastern New Jersey Region Junior Council and the USTA Eastern Section Junior Council where he helps spread the love of tennis by running different community events.

Kirstyn Bonetti

Kirstyn is a stay-at-home mom of two teenage boys who attend Delbarton. She grew up playing tennis and was first singles on her high school team. After attending Georgetown University and also receiving her MBA from NYU, Kirstyn worked at Goldman Sachs for 7 years in the Investment Management Division before leaving to raise her two boys. She is a member of the Board at Mount Sinai’s Institute for Exposomic Research and is the advisor for the USTA Eastern New Jersey Region Junior Council and the USTA Eastern Section Junior Council.

Bob Perkins

Bob Perkins has taught tennis to kids of all ages and levels, even some world ranked players! He was the past President of the United States Professional Tennis Association, Eastern Division, and was in charge of traveling around the country to train students who wanted to become tennis teaching professionals. He is also the former Head Tennis Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University, former Head Pro at Orange Lawn Tennis Club and an All-American Tennis player. He is now retired and in his free time he coaches his two grandkids, Hudson and Brayden.

What We Do

Trained Program Directors and volunteers lead participants through our curriculum. At the very heart, tennis is a social game that furnishes a natural opportunity to develop and reinforce skills that many children on the spectrum find a struggle: turn-taking, focus and attending, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, and more. Our Program Directors meet athletes where they are at and progress through our curriculum at their own pace.

The details of the Fall 2025 program are as follows:

The program will run on Fridays from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm on Sept. 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th and 5:30 -6:30 on Oct. 3rd. Please arrive around 30 minutes early if possible so we can get everyone ready to start our clinic. We will have pizza after every session! *Please note that children with autism like to see familiar faces so if you can volunteer for multiple weeks that would be great.

*If you have a conflict at the last minute and you can't make your scheduled time, please e-mail Mr. White or Brayden Bonetti as soon as possible at mwhite@delbarton.org  or bonetti_b@delbarton.org so we can ask an alternate.

*We will contact you if the program is cancelled or rescheduled due to weather.  We typically move the program into the gym if it rains.
