Who We Are

The ACEing Autism Adult program in Phoenix, Arizona is launching its first session this coming October 2024!

With the support of our Phoenix Youth Program Directors, our Program Director Carolyn Sostrom is excited to bring an ACEing Autism program to the Phoenix are that is able to serve individuals 18 years or older.

We will run two session per year, following the youth clinics:  Fall (Oct-Nov) and Winter (Jan-Feb). The clinics are at IJP Tennis at Arcadia High School from 12:30 - 1:30 pm.

What We Do

Trained Program Directors and volunteers lead participants through our curriculum. At the very heart, tennis is a social game that furnishes a natural opportunity to develop and reinforce skills that many children on the spectrum find a struggle: turn-taking, focus and attending, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, and more. Our Program Directors meet athletes where they are at and progress through our curriculum at their own pace.

We offer weekly tennis clinics for adults with autism. Our clinics run for one hour, with sessions running for about six weeks at a time. Volunteers are paired up with a participant, hopefully for the duration of the session. The athletes in our program do not need prior tennis knowledge as our curriculum & volunteers support each person's individual abilities and needs!
